These songs are so difficult but lovely!

I absolutly feel in love with the soudtrack the accompanies this piano book. The songs are all beutiful and written extremely well. This piano book is what actually made me want to start playing the piano. Yes it is THAT powerful of a soundtrack.

I got this book from playasia.com for $60, it was worth it, though I was dissapointed to see that it originaly cost around $20.... Also most normal piano books run only around 8-10 dollars. Though books from games or movies typicaly cost double that.

When I read other reviews for difficulty they read intermediate to advanced. I thought that I could be a beginner and learn the songs over long periods of time.... no i cant.

After many weeks of trying to get the fingering right i lost all hope. These songs are very hard to play, my teacher even has difficult playing "Lightning's Theme" with 35 years of paino playing, though in my oppinion that is the hardest song, though the best.

I recomend this song to sombody who is really willing to sit down and learn, with a lot of experience in piano playing. Do not think you will be able to play this your first 5 years of playing. Though you might be able to play "Vanille's Theme" with only a few years, it is by far the easiest to learn and perform.

If you are a dye-hard FF13 fan like I am go for it and buy this even though it is costly. Though if you have no intention of playing piano I suggest buying the soundtrack off itunes so you can hear it whenever you want.

rushed and slaped this one together

This Guide has so many mistakes in it, it suprises me that the proof reader was from a major publisher. The priciples are good
but the answers to the questions are in part not correct, especially the answer keys. I think I would pass as the only way you will get anything out of this book is to find the answer key ansewers and circle them, and then you study the answers and the questions.

Caution: be sure that the answer key answers are correct, found quite a few rediculous mistakes.

This book and accompanying worksheets set out a straightforward but incredibly powerful process for helping you uncover your best self: your best talents and your biggest passions.

You can apply the principles both personally and professionally, though my experience has mostly been work-related. I also have version 1 of this book, which is very good. The 2.0 edition updates the work and makes it much much more applicable and easy to implement.

Unique Ability 2.0:
-- helps you uncover what you should be spending your time on for a happier, more productive work/personal life;
-- helps you work out how to move away from tasks you shouldn't be doing, towards a day filled with more of the tasks you're good at and enjoy doing;
-- gives you a structure for articulating your strengths and abilities to others.

This isn't a book you read from cover to cover then replace on the shelf. You'll read a chapter, think about it, talk to your spouse or colleagues, make some notes, then read on. It's not overly in-depth, but it doesn't need to be.

Unique Ability 2.0 is a process for achieving a more enjoyable, more rewarding personal and/or professional life. It's simple and easily implementable but will have a profound impact on your daily life.

Much better options are out there.

I teach adult ESL students using this textbook and the workbook. It's one of the worst textbooks I've come across. Almost every page of this book is over crowded with activities, something that can really discourage and confuse beginner students. The sequencing is also strange, almost like there was no fore-thought in ordering each Unit. Also, it's very difficult to split these Units into different class periods because you end up starting the next day at an awkward point. I like books that make each Unit easily divisible into multiple classes. Another strange part is that all of the writing lessons are in the back of the book. Although this was recently published, the stock photos are all from the 90's.

The teacher's book is awful as well. I prefer teacher's books that have the student's material alongside of the teacher's text so that you can easily see what students see, but this is not the case. The teacher's book is difficult to navigate as well and forces you to have two books open while teaching.

Taking a fresh look at the art world of the 1960s, Caroline Jones explores the pervasive imagery of the American artist at work and the implications of those images for understanding their art. The radical break of artists with Abstract Expressionism at the end of the 1950s demonstrates the traditional modernist view of the solitary, suffering artist did not seduce those who came of age in the burgeoning American economy of the 1960s. Silver Stacking 101 is a complete guide on how to buy and invest in silver bullion coins. I especially enjoyed how the author puts an effort into presenting the most famous types of bullion coins and explaining how to store them properly. Gr 5-8-A stunning photo-essay about the life and work of Hurtado, an anthropologist who has been studying the Ach‚ people in Paraguay for 15 years. The well-organized, logical text intertwines the information about these hunter-gatherers and the changes in their society with insight into the anthropologist's methods of observation, data collection, and analysis. Unfamiliar terms are effortlessly explained. The large, full-color photographs sometimes fill an entire page and show individuals engaged in daily activities. There are also a couple of maps (without a scale or compass rose). Batten gently explains that there are many reasons for studying other cultures. Her respect for the work of Hurtado is evident as is her concern for the future of the Ach‚. This book is an excellent choice for booktalking and it will fill requests for assignment material on careers, women's history month, introductory anthropology, and the peoples of South America. Reluctant older readers will be enticed by the photos. Students who enjoy this title may also be interested in Joan Mark's Margaret Mead (Oxford, 2001), which offers a more complete life and education of a female anthropologist, and Jan Reynolds's Amazon Basin (Harcourt, 1993), a photo exploration of the life of the Yanomama people of the Amazon region.

Anthropologist introduces readers to Magdalena Huriado and Kim Hill, a husband-and-wife team who study the Ache of Paraguay, one of the few remaining hunting and gathering peoples. Batten's graceful text covers basic science concepts (what an anthropologist really does; what evolutionary biology is) in accessible, clear language and examples just right for kids, offering fascinating hypotheses along the way. Hidden Worlds focuses on the work of Hawaii-based microscopist Dennis Kunkel. The text nicely illustrates how a scientist explores, discovers, and formulates questions. The stunning color photographs, provided by the scientists themselves, are the books' real strength. Huriado and Hill's shots bring the Ache's way of life up close, without sensationalizing, while kids will pore over Kunkel's magnified shots of a carpet flea, red blood cells, and more. MARVELLOUS INTRODUCTION TO ANTHROPOLOGY

This biography of the young Venezuelan anthropologist Magdalena Hurtado provides a very clear description of her fieldwork among one of the world's last foraging peoples, the Ache indians of Paraguay. This beautifully illustated book provides the best available introduction for young readers of what it is an anthropologist does. Although the publishers recommend the book for ages 9-12, my guess is that students in junior high and high school --perhaps especially young women -- will find the book both informative and inspirational.

Great book for kids and adults

I gave this book to my 3 yr old neice and 6 yr old nephew, and they were as fascinated by it as their mother and father were. The pictures are wonderful and the text really gives you the feel of what the lives of one of the last groups of hunter gatherers in the world are like. And it paints a detailed and fascinating picture of what it is like to be an anthropologist studying and loving a people whose lives are so different from our own. A really enjoyable book.
